Abstract: Across sectional study was conducted during April 2012 to june 2012 on70 leukemic patients 43 males and 27 females , who were attended Radiation and Isotope centre of Treatment , Khartoum , other 16 non leukemic individuals were randomly selected to serve as control group.Blood sample werecollected from patients and control groups for determination of plasma creatinine, uric acid and total cholesterol .The analysis of samples by using commercial kits and instruments of Biosystem. Acute myeloid leukemia and Acute lymphocytic leukemia were found in young patients , while chronic myeloid leukemia and chronic lymphocytic leukemia were in the middle and older ages. Uric acid is significantly elevated in leukemic patients( p=o.ooo) and patients with AML and CML show high uric acid . In comparison means of uric acid level in leukemic patients with the control group, there was different. The creatinine is mildly elevated in leukemic patients.(p=o.ooo) , AML and CML patients show high creatinine. in comparison means of creatinine level in leukemic patients with control groups there was different. Total cholesterol is significantly low in leukemic patients (p=o.ooo). ALL and CML patients show more lower in total cholesterol levels . In comparison means of total Cholesterol level in leukemic patients with the control groups , there was significant different. we concluded from this study that , the uric acid is high ,creatinine is mild elevated, while total cholesterol is low in leukemic patients compared to non leukemic.
