Abstract: This study has investigated mastering collocation awareness and the problems encountered English foreign language EFL at Sudanese universities. A sample from the Department of English - Sudan University of Science and Technology fourth level – has been chosen randomly for testing on collocation. The test was administrated to collect necessary data. The methodology used in this study is descriptive, quantitative, in addition to, qualitative analysis. The findings showed insufficient knowledge of collocations. The result proved to be below the average level. The research has suggested and recommended some procedures which he hopes to be taken into consideration and implementation.
