dc.description.abstract‫Abstract Concrete had witnessed consecutive promotion processes since its discovering five thousand years B.C that coinciding with the evolution of the various aspects of the contemporary life, that lead to the discovery of new materials, which had been added to concrete mixture to promote and upgrade its properties, in accordance with the role of concrete admixture, the research title is derived out as follow ( Use of concrete admixtures in the construction industry in Khartoum (a field survey study). The main objective of this research is to study the use of concrete admixtures in the construction projects. The limitation of this research is within Khartoum state, and to process this study the researcher has adopted the statistical approach, he distributed a questionnaire among those who are interested in the construction industry, and that has been on the basis of certain hypotheses e.g. that there isn’t considerable interest of using concrete admixtures, in the construction sites within the Khartoum state, unless there is specific characteristics of the concerned projects such as the largeness of its size. the following program has been used (Statistical Package for Social Sciences-SPSS -13), for data analysis, and to obtain the results and recommendations. the most important results, that the participants emphasized the lack of interest to use the concrete admixtures, in construction sites within Khartoum state. The participants’ consultants and contractors are the most group that interested in using admixtures. And there is general dissatisfaction because of the lack of interest in the construction sector to use concrete admixtures as a result of the lack of proper training and the absence of the proper knowledge of the advantage of using the concrete admixtures in addition to the weakness of quality culture all that enabled foreign companies to have superiority, over local companies concerning the importance of admixtures and their use. And according to the results that have been achieved, the necessary recommendations were formulated to address the research problem, and the most important of these recommendations are: The necessity of using concrete admixture, and their use shall not be limited to the projects of significant characteristics and to focus on continuous academic promotion and training in the field of admixtures and the quality of the concrete in general. And also the localization of concrete admixture industry within the country has been recommended through local industries , and to activate the role of the unions, associations, and the engineering councils concerning the importance of concrete admixtures by holding forums, seminars and the awareness scientific workshops.en_US
