Abstract: | Cognitive Radio is a promising technology that is potentially will play an essential role of communications in the future. This technology witnesses a rapid growth in the past few years due to the solutions it provides. One of the main issues regarding cognitive radio technology is spectrum-sensing methods. Even though many research efforts were dedicated to improve sensing efficiency, it is considered in the early stages. The novel Interchangeable Spectrum Sensing scheduling algorithm attempted to improve the sensing efficiency through a cooperative sensing scheme. This thesis conduct a throwaway prototype to evaluate this algorithm. Matlab platform was used to simulate the scheduling operation as well as the performance output. |
