Abstract: This study investigates the role of body language in in receiving and sending messages in English languages. The method of this research is descriptive and analytic research. Aquestionnaire is used as the tool of data collection. The population is the students of fourth year at college of languages. The sample consists 32 students of fourth year students at Sudan University of Science and Technology. The findings and the result of this study insure the important role of the body language in communication, to emphasize what we say verbally and body language could help in any given situation. This study recommends that the body language should be given its due attention. The researcher suggests that more researches should be conducted on investigating the role of body language in sending and receiving messages.
