| Abstract: | The level of trace elements, magnesium and zinc were monitored in 100 diabetic patients and in 50 apparently non diabetic.In order to study the impact of diabetes mellitus diseases on the status of these elements. Control healthy persons presented with normal levels of blood glucose of a mean of (133mg/dl) while diabetic patient (241 mg/dl). The result of magnesium level is being (17.92 mg/dl) and (22.47mg/dl) in control and diabetic patients respectively with a reduction 20.25% zinc level in being (0.67mg/dl) and (0.5lmg/dl) incontrol and diabetic patients respectively with a reduction 23.88%. The findings of this study also showed that diabetic males nearly maintained the same levels of magnesium and zinc as in females, no significant differences. The findings of this study also showed that no significant effect for age and duration of disease. |
