| Abstract: | Since a power system are nonlinear there are always small load changes, switching actions, and other transients occurring so that in a strict mathematical sense most of the variables are varying with the time, it is hard to achieve a satisfactory performance by the conventional proportional integral derivative (PID) control scheme. For the dynamic characteristics of the frequency, the fuzzy logic controller in addition to PID controller is proposed to look for performance and robustness improvement. Fuzzy logic controller with PID controller (FPD&I) is designed to achieve good performance. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed controller compared with conventional ones. |
