Abstract: This study was carried out to explore the effect of Moringa seeds extract on quality of water sample from River Nile. 20 g moringa seed powder was soaked in a total volume of 100 ml distilled for hour at room temperature, filtered within filter paper to obtain the seed extract. 10ml, 20ml and 30ml extracts were added to 90 ml, 80 ml, and 70 ml River Nile water, respectively. The mixes were incubated at room temperature for 24 hour and then samples were collected for analysis. The results obtained indicated that the extract obviously affected physical, chemical, and microbiological properties of water. There are decreases in pH and turbidity of water treated with different level of Moringa seeds extracts as compared with raw water; while there is increase in EC. The treatment with the extract also increased Total Hardness (TH) , TH as Ca , TH as Mg because Moringa seeds are good source of minerals. There are decreases in total count of bacteria and total coliform by treatment with the extract as compared with raw water from river Nile. The highest decrease in total bacteria count and total coliform in sample treated with 30% Moringa seeds extract. Therefore, it is possible to use different concentrations of Moringa seeds extract to treat turbidity and microbial load in water samples from River Nile.
