Usage of Suffixes in English language as problem Encounter Sudanese University Students-

Abstract

This study has dealt with the problem that facedsome Sudanese Universitystudents whenadding affixes to English words. The study consists of five chapters; the first chapter is an introduction, statement of the problem, questions of the study, hypothesis, objectives, significant, limits and methodology of the study.The second chapter presents theoretical frame work and literature review; concentrated on affixes, the main rules associated with adding affixes to English words, as well as English inflectional and derivational morphology. The third chapter is devoted to the practical part of the study as introduction, subjects, instrument, data collection procedures, reliability, and validity. The fourth chapter reflects data analysis, results and discussion. Thelast chapter shows findings, recommendations, conclusion and further studies. The researcher concludes that thereis agreat variance in using affixes correctly. Therefore, the researcher recommends the upcoming researchers for further studies in order to investigate the topic from different views.
