Back ground: This study was done in Khartoum state during the period from February to May 2015. The aim of the current study was to identify the relationship between Microalbuminuria (MA) and Ischemic Heart Diseases (IHD). Materials and methods: A total of hundred (100) participants from Khartoum state, Those 100 participants were classified into two study groups; 50 healthy control group consist of (39%) males, (65.9%) females with mean of age 54.5±10.2 range from 40 to 86 years, and 50 patients with Ischemic Heart Disease (IHD) as case consist of (61%) males and (34.1%) females with mean of age 59.9±12. The MA levels was estimated by measuring urinary albumin/creatinine ratio using spectrophotometric methods, then by programmed statistical method the relationship between MA and different IHD risk factors were assessed. Results: The study showed that there was significant differences between control study group and IHD case study group in the presence of MA, 4% of control group and 18% of IHD case group had positive MA. The study also showed significant difference between (31.6%) diabetic with IHD and (9.7%) non diabetic patients with IHD patients in the presence of MA. Conclusions: The study concluded that there was significant association between IHD and presence of MA.en_US
