Abstract:
This study is entitled: Ismail Al-Azhari “Secrets of Leadership”. The book of Secrets of Leadership speaks about historic period of Sudan under the rule of imperialist. The book sheds great light on the hero of that period, Ismail Alazhari, the leader of the nation and the first president of Sudan then. The book attempts to show the efforts, achievements, suffering and struggle of Alazhari to rescue his nation from the hands of imperialists.
Admittedly, the book tries to document the imperialism period and how people have suffered a lot from the imperialists ruling. It goes into great details on the matter of Ismail Alazhari’s suffering to draw the readers’ attention of the importance of that period of the history of Sudan. The researcher chooses this book for it contains some important historic topics in addition to researcher's interest in it.
The researcher translated from page 1 up to page 45. These pages cover the matters of Ismail Alazhari’s biography, Kingship, childhood, academic excellence, struggle, and patriotism. Undoubtedly, Alazhari has played a key role along with other persons to liberate Sudan. He made significant contributions to Sudan by setting up Graduate Congress which has considerably increased the understanding of people. Also, Alazhari works on upgrading the spirit of patriotism in the people as a result he underwent severe punishment from the side of the imperialists. As a consequence of Alazhari sacrifice Sudan has gained its liberation and independence.
The researcher in translating theses pages has come across a number of difficulties in terms of selecting the proper lexical items in addition to the choose the best equivalence to overcome the said difficulties the researcher takes recourse to a number of dictionaries, references and resort to some translation experts.
