dc.description.abstract This study was conducted during the period of May to August 2013 in order to evaluate the concentration of calcium, phosphate and albumin in blood of CRF patients pre- haemodialysis, 50 CRF patients under regular dialysis were enrolled in this study in which they include 30 males and 20females with an ages between (20- 75) years, other 40 apparently healthy and non CRF patient were also included in this study to serve as control. All participates were meat Alamal National Hospital ( Khartoum) in which the clinical assessment were made by physician . S.P.S.S statistical program was used for the analysis of the data obtained. The result of this study showed that the level of calcium and albumin in the blood of CRF patients were significantly reduced in comparison with control, being (8.08 ± 0.63) and (9.28 ± 0.45) mg/dl for calcium in patients with CRF and control respectively p.value= 0.00 , and albumin (3.03 ± 0.46) and (3.95 ± 0.29) g/dl in case and control respectively. But phosphate exhibited significant elevation in CRF patients when compare with control value being (6.02 ± 1.41) and (3.63 ± 0.36) mg/dl in case and control respectively, p.value= 0.00. The result also showed that the three parameters Calcium, Phosphate and Albumin measured in the blood of male and female CRF patient were not altered values in male nearly the same as in female . The result also showed that the calcium level of CRF patients was significantly higher in older patient , age between 51- 75 than the young and middle age patient of age between 20-50 , p.value=0.05 , while phosphate and albumin were not affected by age. The study also showed that the calcium, phosphate and albumin were not affected by the duration of CRF. Pearson correlation analysis showed that no correlation exhibited between the three parameters calcium, phosphate and albumin measured in the blood of the CRF patients and the age of patients, but significant negative correlation was found between calcium and phosphate. en_US
