dc.description.abstract The intelligent controller for motor management system offers protection, control, and monitoring capabilities for single-phase and 3-phase AC induction motors. The system is flexible and modular and can be configured to meet the needs of applications in oil industry, Metal, Minerals and Mining. The system offers diagnostic and statistics functions and configurable warnings and faults, allowing better prediction of component maintenance. The system has software named PowerSuite software; it is a Microsoft Windows -based program that can be installed on any PC. It is used to edit configuration files for the controller and save the edited files. The controller supports pre-defined operating modes and custom operating mode, each pre-defined operating mode is a list of commands that reside in the read only memory of the controller. The setting for custom operating mode enables you to create your own control program. The EMCS system fits into the facility’s command and control system. The EMCS system communicates with Sepam relay on 6.6 KV and 400 V switchgear and Tesys on 400 V switched board on Modbus protocol. The EMCS system consists of the server PC and four Substation controllers .The link between the server and communicating devices uses an Ethernet TCP/IP net work en_US
