A study was conducted from May 1994 to April 1995 at two locations in sennar state central Sudan, to study trap catches of horse flies (Diptera: Tabanidae) and stable flies (Diptera: Muscidae) . Flies were caught using modified canopy traps. Catches of horse flies and stable flies were highest in September and October to April just before the rains

A STUDY ON THE PERFORMANCE OF A DIODE LASER DRIVE CIRCUIT

A suitable drive circuit for a diode laser (670nm) was designed and constructed. The drive current was designed according to the specification of a real optical fiber communication system. The performance of the constructed drive circuit was tested. The effect of temperature on the output optical power of the diode laser was investigated. The temperature is varied from 15C-30C- five degrees for each step. The optimum threshold drive current was detected at 15C.
