dc.description.abstract This is a prospective and complementary study. It carried out in hospitals of Khartoum state. It showed the evaluation of nursing performance in radiological departments. Careful randomized 70 technologists were surveyed, 56 of them from governmental hospitals, and 14 of them from private medical centers. Questionnaire was designed to assess the knowledge about nursing procedures, and preparation of departments for emergency situations. This study represents that, there were 37 % of technologists have good knowledge about nursing procedures for infection control. Also 72 % of technologists with good management of x-ray room during special procedures, 75 % of them with good management of reaction to contrast media, and 82 % of them applied proper procedures for injection of contrast media. But there was low knowledge about general nursing care in radiology. This study showed that there was lack of supply of equipment, and low co-ordination and connection with other hospitals units. en_US
