Abstract:
This study was done to evaluate the role of Ultrasound in detection the
transplant kidney's complications .
Random sample of Fifty patients complained of transplant kidney's
complications was taken from IBN-SENA HOSPITAL and AHMED
GASEEM HOSPITAL.
All patients in the sample were sonographically investigated, the
results of this investigations was collected from the reports via data
collecting sheet.
Patients age in the study, ranged between 10 years and 70 years old,
34 of them were male(68%) and, 16 were female(32%), the large
accumulation of age groups of kidney transplant's complications was
between 31 years and 40 years (34%).
In this study we found the most types of complications of renal
transplant, the renal artery stenosis (14%) as highest percentage, and the
other types arranged between 10% for UTI, hydronephrosis and acute
tubular necrosis ATN, Drug toxicity 2%.
In this study we found that, the base line of 48 hours Ultrasound
investigations is very important in early detection of complications, and
Doppler U/S of the renal transplant is primary diagnostic tools for
evaluating transplant recipients with surgical or medical complications.
