dc.description.abstract Modern society depend on a cheap, secure and high quality supply of electricity. To meet these requirements of Electricity supply , power systems are being interconnected to form grids at state, region and national level. While operating such interconnected systems, it is necessary to maintain a constant equilibrium between load and generation . If equilibrium is lost by any severe power deficit, automatic load shedding using under frequency relays is universally accepted as a means of ensuring rapid recovery to equilibrium. The objective of any good load- shedding scheme should be to disconnect sufficient amount of load to bering the generation deficit close to zero with minimum inconveniennce to the consumers. After the frequency returns to its normal value, the program will check the voltage in every area and will bring it to normal by shedding enough load in every area separate! ly. The program will fully restorer the supply within one hour of the event. en_US
