Abstract:
Control system and home monitoring remotely has become one of the
most intelligent systems that are competing companies to provide all that is
new in this area in terms of connecting and linking devices needed by the
modern home with each other and then controlled either by mobile or GSM
modem.
This research addressed this idea with a focus on side of home
monitoring in case the absence of parents from home pretext of work for
example, where used of two (GSM) modems so that each is placed in a
separate place, connecting the first (GSM) modem with a laptop to provide
easy navigation and movement across the different places and distances, For
difference in the voltage between the Laptop and (GSM) modem using
Darlington amplifier (ULN2003). The second (GSM) modem was placed in a
fixed location to simulate the presence in the children's room in the house for
example, and then connect a camera and a microphone to monitor and
communicate, and also has been connected to electricity switch can be
controlled opening or lock it in if you feel threatened. Each (GSM) modem
contains five outlets allowing connect five different devices, and also each
modem contains subscriber ID card (SIM card) which enables communication
across a (GSM) network and take advantage of its services. And also the
modems contains (ATmega32) microcontroller, which is one of the most
important features the possibility of re-programming. The whole system is
controlled by a simple program was written by programming language (TC +
+) and has been installed on a laptop, this allows the system to send short
messages (SMS) to control the open or lock both the camera and the
microphone and the securing electricity key which are conductive to the
second (GSM) modem on the other end of the electronic circuit, to increase
the specificity of the program interface was designed ask the user to enter a
user name and password before entering the main program.
Chapters of this research dealt with first, the basic concepts of the idea
of research and the structure of the system, then electronic circuit design and
operating software. The experiments showed the system performed well and
the results are acceptable. Then research concluded with the introduction of
some of the recommendations for the future.
