Abstract:
This research aim to compare between projected co-ordinates of CLARKE-1880 which is the ellipsoid that used in Sudan and the world ellipsoid WGS-84 to determine the difference and to assess where this difference can be ignored.
By examining 19 known points in both systems and zone 36, the comparison was carried out. From the results it was found to be that the difference in northing is larger than difference in easting, and the linear difference is not more than 250m which mean that it can be ignored in quarter million maps and less.
