dc.description.abstract This study discussed family relations in the Traditions of the Prophet and added some of the problems facing Islamic family nowadays and how these can be tackle. The researcher dwelled on some Hadiths in the related field mostly from the six major collections and other books of Hadith including the authenticity or otherwise of each Hadith. The researcher answered the objectives of this study by stating the major problems facing society as regard to family relations and how these can be solve. Chapter one is the Introductory part of the study highlighting, Introduction, statement of the problem, objectives of the study, significance of the study, research questions, scope and limitation, method of data analysis and finally literature review. Chapter two discussed the meaning of family comprises family definition, literally, culturally and technically, family as understood by Sociologist, Philosophers and Western World. Chapter three titled selection of marriage partner from Islamic point of view, priority of marrying virgin, unwanted type of spouse, and selection of husband. Chapter four of the research work dwelled on Marriage in Islam discussing on definition and meaning of marriage, Islamic family relation, goals and significance of marriage. chapter five of the study is data analysis and interpretation focused on husband/wife rights, rights of parents, children and relatives. Chapter six is the conclusion, discussed research findings, summary, recommendations and conclusion. en_US
