Abstract:
The aims of this study are: to evaluate the effectiveness of using learning package for French language by implementing it to a target audience, and to encourage the learners and the teachers too to use the computer. It is about a lesson in French language, in the part of grammar. It is “Adjectifs et pronoms démonstratifs”.
The researcher follows the descriptive-analytical method in the discussion and the analysis of results.
The program was tested on 5 French teachers in secondary schools and 15 students also in secondary schools, in second class. The researcher follows a blend of qualitative and quantitative approaches on the choice of the target population.
The researcher uses the instruments: Pre and post test, observation, informal conversation check list and focus discussion to collect the information of the study.
After the analysis and the discussion, the researcher found that the most important results are:
- The learning package is easy to use.
- The learning package following Hannafin and Peck's criteria for education.
- Using computer as a tool is appropriate in teaching French language.
- The learning package is realizing its objectives.
The researcher presented the following recommendations:
All the learners must obtain an experience about how to use the computer.
Allow "Help" and “Exit” icon anywhere in the program.
The program needs more activities.
Using computer as a tool appropriate in all the materials in curriculum.
For the global benefit, generalize the learning package in all secondary schools.
