dc.description.abstract ABSTRACT This thesis is concerned with indoor environment modeling and simulation in order to provide a good indoor air quality and an acceptable thermal comfort. The two common approaches of simulation (Computational Fluid Dynamic CFD, Multizone network) are discussed. A mathematical and physical model of a workshop enclosure a factory is set up. The fields of indoor air temperature, air velocity and thermal comfort are simulated using Airpak software. The Airpak results as compared to experimental results show the ability of software to predict good and healthy indoor environment, also to save time, and provide more correct information. The graphs results show that the middle area of workshop has poor ventilation. The temperature is varying between 28 0C in front of the air inlets to 43 0C at the area near the wall at which air inlets fixed. Also the thermal comfort predicted from Airpak software by Predicted Percentage Dissatisfied (PPD) and Predicted Mean Vote (PMV) show that most area has acceptable values. The plotting of experimental data with Airpak software had convergent results which made more confidence in Airpak software. A relocation model of the workshop is set up by moving the cooler air inlets, the results show improve of ventilation, thermal comfort in the middle of the workshop. en_US
