تناولت هذه الدراسة مفهوم الإعاقة من الناحية النفسية لفئة ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، حيث أنها المستهدفة لبحث بعناية المشاكل النفسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية التي تواجه ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة. ..... This study tackled the notion of disability from psychological point of view for special needs category, where as it targeted to discus carefully the psychological, social and economical problems facing special needs people. The study concentrated on people with hearing, sight and physical retardation. The surveyed descriptive method has been used in this study; due to the fact that, it describes the phenomenon as it is, as well as questionnaires are used for special need people as a tool of study. The statistical information of the total number of Sudan states, through the census conducted in 1993 as a community of the study. The simple class random sample has been used in this study. I ndividuals of the sample were chosen randomly to be a group of persons with hearing, sight and physical disability, so as the questionnaires might be distributed amongst them. This study concluded a lot of results, the core of that, the special needs people are suffering from economical, psychological and social problems. They need more services and jobs to work to enable them to depend on themselves and feel satisfied to lessen pressure on their families from economical point of view.
