Simulation Study of a Production System : Applied Study on Atbara Flour Mill Company

Abstract

Decision making process is one of the significant factors those affect on the success and continuity of any business. Decision making under conditions of uncertainty represents the major problem in most of manufacturing systems. Simulation, as one of management tools, can be used to help in decision making as well as showing systems behaviour. Simulation with decision model provides two important advantages to the decision makers, it offers an inexpensive method for analysing the behaviour of the system under different conditions, and it attempts to predict what would happen in real life. In this research we applied simulation technique to help in decision making process, and also for solving problems those may appear in manufacturing systems. The study was done in Atbara Flour Mill Company. The obtained results were in high degree on conform comparing with prescribed objectives.
