dc.description.abstract This study is a case study conducted in Agadi Area in Blue Nile State, Sudan. With the objective of evaluating sesame technology from developing transferring and adoption point of view. Reviewing of agricultural recommended practices from research side was done, transfer of them to the farmers from ex tension side also were investigated. Data were obtained from 50 farmers in Agadi area to see the adoption level of the recommended cultural practices. It was found that the following sesame cultural practices were researched and approved : Improved seeds : Kinana 1, Kinana 2 , Kinana 3 and Kinana 4. Land preparation : (at least one deep plowing in the year with 1-2 shallow disking after weeds growing ) . Crop rotation : (50% of the area sorghum + 50% sesame or left fallow). Sowing date : ( 15 June – 15 July ). Sowing rate :(1.5 Kg / fed. ). Sowing method : (in rows 7.5 x 60 cm apart ). Fertilization : ( no Fertilization for sesame ). For transfer of sesame technology extension officers had no comprehensive program , they used leaflets only. For adoption level knowledge, attitude and practice levels were being assessed and the findings are: The recommended improved seeds was known and not practiced , farmers attitude towards it was negative, for the recommended land preparation was known and practiced farmers attitude towards it was positive, the recommended crop rotation was not known and not practiced , iii farmers attitude towards it was negative, for recommended sowing date was known and practiced , farmers attitude towards it was positive, for the recommended seed rate was known and practiced , farmers attitude towards it was positive, for the recommended sowing method was not known and not practiced , farmers attitude towards it was negative, for the recommended fertilization was known and practiced , farmers attitude towards it was positive. And the researcher recommended that the following: To the research : 1-To see why some of the recommended cultural practices had not been adopted by farmers. 3-To Extension unit: in agricultural Ministry-Damazine needs to be strengthened in many sides:  Size of the office:  In service-training also need  4-To farmers the researcher recommends: Farmers experience must had to be taken in regard in developing the technology , by involve farmers in researc en_US
