dc.description.abstract Back ground: the three basic methods use to estimate gestational age (GA) is menstrual history, clinical examination, and ultrasonography. The first two subject to considerable error. the objective of this study is to predict role of ultrasound in the third trimester to estimate (GA) , to evaluate expected date of the delivery by the (BPD) ,(FL) correlate to delivery date ,and to predict the accurate measurement (BPD)or(FL) to give gestational age in third trimester for increase sensitivity of detection GA during third trimester. The area of study includes different hospital and clinics in Khartoum state. In this study about 110 pregnant women without any disorder can affect fetal size, and without disorder which can effect growth was selected randomly. The result of the study as following: There was strong correlation between US measurements (BPD .FL) to estimate (GA). The bi parital bone is bigger than femur bone There was little variation between (BPD, FL) and delivery date Finally this is study was predict the femur length sensitive and more accurate than BPD for estimate of GA. en_US
