Abstract:
This study concerns with improving teachers mode in order to teach EFL reading efficiently. Therefore, it sheds the lights on all aspects of EFL reading the attitudes, training and experience of teachers and their effects on the performance of university students. The study also investigates the difficulties which faced teachers & students in teaching reading comprehension in L2.
The subjects of this study consist of 30 teachers from Sudan University of science & technology and Alzaiem Alazhari University.
The researcher has used in his study a questionnaire to collect data. And he used in his analyzing the data the descriptive and statistical method.
The research is coming to the following results:-
-Teachers of English language find difficulties on teaching reading comprehension.
- Teachers of English language give less attention to the techniques and strategies of the reading skill in the process of teaching reading comprehension.
-The majority of teachers agree that teachers must be trained well so as to use the techniques & strategies of reading in teaching reading comprehension.

In the light of the results of the study, these things should be taken into consideration. The researcher recommends the following points:
-Teachers of English language should be given special and adequate training courses on methods of teaching reading comprehension.
-English language should be taught by the specialized teachers so as to assist students by using different techniques and strategies in the process of teaching reading comprehension.
-Teachers views and ideas should be taken into consideration when designing the English language curriculum; because of their experience this consideration will help the process of education.
-Teachers must encourage and motivate their students to read other books, news papers, magazines, to develop their accuracy & fluency in reading and understanding the passages.
-Teachers must renew their techniques and strategies of teaching reading according to the recent technology.
-The cultural aspects between L1 & L2 create problems to the teachers in teaching reading comprehension.
3-Teachers must teach the language as a language not as a subject, by urging their students to practice the language inside and outside the class.
