dc.description.abstract The system that has been designed in this work is a typical computer to computer link (local area connection LAN) using an optical fiber and fast either net system. The connection between two pcs is well established by insert the fast either net cards in the mother board of two pcs, the fast either net units is supported by the soft ware of internet protocol, the used class of this protocol is class (C). The system worked well, the information has been transferred from computer to computer on a speed of 100 Mb/s. Then the effect of fiber bending on the lost power was studded by varying the bending diameter. Bending the fiber more than the radius of 0.4 mm leads to the disconnection of the net. The minimum detected power was –31 dB.m . en_US
