dc.description.abstract This is analytical descriptive cross sectional study aim to evaluate some hematological parameter in Sudanese pregnant women in Khartoum teaching hospital from April to May 2012. 85 samples informed in the study compared with 30control samples. 2 ml of venous blood was collected in EDTA anticoagulant for Complete blood count which measured by sysmex and blood films which stained by lieshman stain, data were analyzed by spss computer program version 11.5.by one way anova test and mean test. The result of the study showed that the hemoglobin, Mean cell volume, Mean corpuscular hemoglobin and Mean cell hemoglobin concentration were (10.8g/dl± 1.3- 82.8±5.4 – 26.7 ± 2.7 – 31.9 ± 1.7) and red blood cells, Packed cell volume, platelets were (4.2± .42 – 34.2± 3.3 - 271± 53). Subjects were divided in this study into three age groups 19 – 27 , 28 - 36 and 37 – 45 years, There was significant result between age group and the results of hemoglobin, Mean cell volume, Mean corpuscular hemoglobin and Mean cell hemoglobin concentration , also there was no significant difference of these results and trimester and number of delivery. The study revealed that the trimester, age and number of delivery does not affect on hemoglobin, Mean cell volume, Mean corpuscular hemoglobin and Mean cell hemoglobin concentration and the most common type of anemia in the study was michrocytic hypochromic (54.1%) and normocytic normochromic (45.9%) en_US
