dc.description.abstract Samples for analysis of raw water and waste water were collected from the wells of the Coca-Cola factory and the stream of waste water produced by the Coca-Cola factory. The analysis results revealed a noticeable similarity between the quality of the studied waste water after the suggested treatment and the quality of the well water which is used inside the factory for irrigation purposes and toilet/urinal flushing. The studied waste water after the suggested treatment can be classified as of high quality when compared to some international standards for discharge of environmental pollutants effluents based directly on the concentration of Sodium, Sulphate, Chlorides, Phenol, and Total Dissolved Solids together with the pH, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) after applying the waste water to the suggested treatment unit of the research. The concentration of Potassium, Sodium, nitrate, Calcium, Magnesium, Total Dissolved Solids, Chlorides, Total Hardness, Sulphate, in addition to the conductivity and (turbidity, after treatment) in the studied waste water was even less than those cited in some local and international standards of drinking water, unbottled drinking water and bottling water used in Food industries. A simple and economical treatment unit to treat the waste water of the Coca-Cola factory was suggested where the turbidity was removed by Sand filtration and the amount of the Biological Oxygen Demand and Chemical Oxygen Demand was reduced by disinfection, using Calcium Hypochlorite, made the treated waste water of higher quality and suitable for use in irrigation purposes, toilet/urinal flushing, washing company trucks, providing an economical water supply to irrigate trees, plants and green lands in the nearby areas in addition to reducing the cost of buying water from the municipality, reducing the pressure on the main sewerage system and even add revenue by sale of surplus amounts of treated waste water for desiring consumers. en_US
