dc.description.abstract The studies of the Stopping power (SP) and Range (R) of Ions in materials are of great physical importance. The SP and R of matter for ions are important in a wide variety of applications. In the present thesis, a simple software method, the Stopping and Range of Ions in Matter (S R I M) has been described and used to compute the SP and R of H ions (protons) from (0.01 – 10)MeV/amu in concrete material. The components of the concrete material consist of Hydrogen, Oxygen, Carbon, Silicon, Calcium and Magnesium. The total SP of hydrogen in concrete material was compared with electronic and nuclear SP. There are different between SP for protons in concrete material, and SP for concrete components. The ranges of protons were compared with of concrete material and concrete component en_US
