dc.description.abstract This study aimed to investigate Code-Switching strategy, which is the use by both teachers and students native language while teaching and learning English. The sample of this study consist of (85) students and teachers randomly selected. The study includes questionnaires for both teachers and students at the University of Imam Saud, Faculty of Education regarding the use of Code Switching technique. The statistical packages for social sciences (SPSS) was used to analysis the acquired data. The findings of analysis revealed that: Code-Switching strategy is a beneficial and effective method for foreign language acquisition, but it mainly depends on student’s language level proficiency. The importance of Code-Switching strategy, its role in students English language development and the functions that induce foreign language teacher to use Code-Switching while teaching Second Language. The researcher highly recommended that: teachers should be aware of use code-switching in teaching English language and students should practice using code-switch in learning froing language. en_US
