dc.description.abstract |
Agriculture is the biggest consumer of freshwater in the world, amounting up to 70% of the total use. This study is concerned with reducing water waste in irrigation by maintaining an automatic irrigation system using fuzzy logic control to achieve a higher level of accuracy in using water and to keep plants healthier by providing the exact amount of water they need. The research is mainly focuses on cultivating wheat in winter season, however the case study is planting mint plants, the scale is 1:560 for each cm2. It was found out from the research that the amount of water consumption in automatic irrigation system is 10% less than in traditional system. |
