Abstract:
An experiment was conducted at Um Dom south east of Khartoum-
Sudan. The objective of the experiment is to modify the motorised
knapsack to be operated by blower, and to achieve the field performance
test.
Another modification was done to the way of compressing the liquid to
the nozzle from the tank by replacing separate fan for this purpose and
testing machine was the use of spraying plants cultivated in the
greenhouses.
The new design was done by replaced the internal combustion engine
with electric motor and fan.
The result shows that the flow rate per time achieved by the Assembling
equipment is the same as the equipment before modification which is
(3.79ml/sec). Also the cost of the new equipment is (110SDG) which is
too cheaper than the motorized knapsack sprayer before modification
(2500SDG).
