dc.description.abstract |
In this work Zinc Oxide nanoparticles (NPs) are synthesisedusing wet chemistry hydrothermal method using equimolar quantities of Zinc Acetate dehydrate & Sodium Hydroxide, and the formed NPs are used to test their antibacterial activity against E.coli bacteria, and it showed promissing results in dark situation,with zone of inhabition equal to 16 mm.. UV visible absorption spectrum of ZnO is determined and maximum absorption wavelength is located at 369 nm. The calculated band gab of ZnOis found to be 3.37 eV. XRD is used to confirm the crystallinity of ZnO (NPs). |
