Abstract:
The study aims at analyzing the previous president of Sudan Omar Hassen Ahmed Al-Bshir speech (Alwathba 2014).The analysis based on Halliday systematic functional grammar (the transitivity system and modality) and Fairclough three dimensions. The researcher used descriptive qualitative method to answer the research questions. According to the analysis, the research concluded that the most frequent process is the process of doing and happening, as for modality, Al-Bashir used the middle polite form. As for inter discursive analysis the speech was hopeful. For social practices analysis, it didn’t meet its purposes.The researcher recommendedthat more attention should be drowning into Sudanese political speech. National politician speech can be compared with the international one. Designers of Linguistic curriculum should mind the field of critical discourse analysis and apply it into live.
