dc.description.abstract This was cross sectional study done in Khartoum state –Sudan in Al tohami medical center– Omdurman, ALhekma Medical Center– Omdurman, Al sanhori medical center– Omdurman and Al Khawaga clinic – Omdurman in the period from March 2019 to August 2019. The problem of study was that no reference values for rotator cuff tendons measurements in normal Sudanese population. The main objective of the study was to measure rotator cuff tendons using high frequency ultrasound. The study was done in 100 participants (200 shoulder joints), 22 males represent 22% and 78 females represent 78% with age ranged from 18-44, the mean age, weight, height and BMI were was 23.64±6.61 years, 58.08±10.60 kg, 161.30±9.58 cm and 22.53± 3.84 kg \cm2respectively. The data was collected by data collection sheet specifically designed for this study and including study variables then analyzed by statistical package for social sciences version 16. The study demonstrates that the mean measurements of thickness and width of long head of biceps, subscapularis, supraspinatous and infraspinatous tendons were 2.58 ± 0. 55 mm, 5.97± 1.08mm. 4.10± 0.54 mm, 24.39 ± 2.02mm. 4.84 ± 0.75 mm, 25.17 ± 2.29mm and 2.47 ± 0.70 mm, 23.83 ± 2.92mm respectively. There was a significant correlation between age and Ssc, SS thickness and width and IS width, but no significant correlation between age, LHB thickness and width and IS thickness. Also there was significant correlation between weight, Ssc, SS thickness and width and LHB, IS width and no significant correlation between weight and LHB, IS thickness. Height had significant correlation with LHB, Ssc thickness and SS width but had no significant correlation with LHB, Ssc width, SS thickness and IS thickness and width. Finally the BMI had significant correlation with Ssc, SS thickness and LHB, IS width and had no significant correlation with Ssc, SS width and LHB, IS thickness. The Study concluded that the rotator cuff tendons had a significant difference in males and females and had no significant differences in right and left shoulders. Also there was significant difference of rotator cuff measurements in different age groups respectively. The study recommended that further study should be done in correlation to participant jobs. en_US
