dc.description.abstract The current study was conducted for a number of camel camels in the region of Damer and Shendi in the period (October - November 2018), which is the most productive and interested areas of this type of camel breeding and linked to cultural and social heritage and then developed to take a productive and economic nature, targeting local and international markets and the advantage of camel breed Sudan is famous in the foreign markets in the Arabian Gulf region (Qatar, UAE and Saudi Arabia) . The aim of the study was to identify the character of this camels from camel sections and challenge them according to the preference of breeders and hoppyists . the data was collected by a questionnaire for breeders has reached (26) individuals included ages, experience, education, breeding methods, herd management and field operations and then measure some sections of the number (136) of camels (67) Anafi (69) Bashary to know the relationship with the desired speed according Different ages and the effect of race, sex and age on speed at different distances. Measurements taken that are believed to be related to the speed of the camel in the race and their averages are as follows: length of head (41.17± 4.6-52.86±4.7)and the length of the neck (82.00±89-102.69±4.6) and circumference of neck is (57.27±10.2 -80.00±33.4) and the circumference of chest is (152.14±12.4-180.29±9.9) and circumference of the hump rang between (167.75±7.0-194.62±11.6), the height at shoulder was (157.75±13.3-193.23±6.8) and the weight (205.21±37.8 -338.52±44.7) shouder is length (25.71±6.2-38.56±9.4) the fore arm length (38.71±6.2 -53.22±7.7) and the fornt cannon bone length (32.71±6.6-43.00±8.3) and the thight length (36.43±6.1) (51.11±9.8) length between stif and hock (38.53±4.6-48.53±9.2) hind cannon bone length (35.43±5.9-47.43±11.7) the length from root of hump to tail (38.07±9.9-49.38±13.2) and the length from the neck to hump (39.75±5.6-52.29±8.9) The sample divided into three group one (1-2)year ,group two (2-3) year, group three more than( 4) year to (7) The sample of study was divided According to the age groups, the first group (1-2) years, the second group (4-2) years, the third group was greater than (4) years. Varies by age group The study concluded that race and sex do not affect speed, but vary according to ag en_US
