Abstract:
This was a descriptive cross section study of causes of haematuria. Study was conducted in Zahrat Alaml-1 Clinic ,in Riyadh City carried out during the period from April to August 2019.
All patients were evaluated sonographically using Samsung H60 machine with convex low frequency transducer 3.5MHz. scanned in sagital coronal, and cross section. Data was collected using the following variables: Age, gender, kidney length,width,Renal cortex echogenicity ,corticomedullary differentiation
This study conducted on 50 patients, 30 males (60%) and 20 females (40%) had Red blood cells in their urine. The study was classified and analyzed by statistical package for social science software (SPSS). All patients’ kidneys were scanned in sagital coronal, and cross section.. Each exam was documented in thermal image.
The Most common finding was hydronephrosis (18%),renal stone and cystitis each one represent (12%), The rest of findings included: Ureteric Stone ,U.B Mass and BPH (10%) for each one, renal cyst (8%), Chronic kidney disease (6%),pyelonephritis and Renal mass(4%) respectively. Only (6%) of cases shows normal sonorgaphic finding.
