Abstract:
The objective of this study is to identify and analyze the difficulties of English conjunctions faced by Peace Center Secondary Schools students’ English section, the study was conducted on second year students of Peace Center Secondary School as the sample. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method to conduct the study, and a teachers’ questionnaire and students’ test as tools to collect the data. The researcher used a multiple choice questions test that covers all English language conjunctions. The results showed that the students face difficulties in using English conjunctions, the students’ performance is below average for all conjunctions. The difficulties faced students in English conjunctions can be related to their first or second language which is Arabic, and to the complex nature of English conjunctions where the same conjunction can be used for different types of sentences, or difference conjunctions can be used for the same sentences, besides some conjunctions that belong to more than a word class also cause the difficulties to the students.
