dc.description.abstract This research the computational program (Java) was used to calculate the efficiency of the silicon solar module under the standard test condition (STC), STC specifies a temperature = (25ºC), an irradiance = (1000w/ m2), and air mass (1.5 Am). And we inserted the values of short circuit current, Isc, open circuit voltage, Voc, also we calculated the value of maximum power,( Pm = 51.1watt) from the values of current at ,Imp, and voltage at, Vmp, hence we obtained the value of fill factor, (FF = 70%), and finally the value of efficiency (η = 14%). These values are taken from study in the Energy Research Institute in Soba. The solar module contain 36 solar cell made from silicon are used as electrical source. Has been compared to the results that we have obtained from the computational program to the actual results of the manually calculated efficiency and we obtained the same results. en_US
