dc.description.abstract tract Long-Term Evolution (LTE) allows operators to use new and wider spectrum and complements 3G networks with higher data rates, lower latency and a flat, IP based architecture to deal with sudden increase in demand for mobile broadband services and to further improve the broadband user experience in a ubiquitous and cost-effective manner 3GPP has been working on various aspects of the LTE Advanced standard. The enhanced Inter-Cell Interference Coordination (eICIC) in heterogeneous networks introduced in LTE-Advanced solve the problem of inter cell interference, which become a challenge. Since the resources of wireless network are limited due to the limitation on the spectrum and limited frequencies that is distributed on the network which limit the resources. The main aim of this project is to compare the time domain intercell interference reduction methods which are represented in ABS and RP-ABS , therefor the time domain eICIC was selected then a simulation was done using matlab in order to evaluate the performance of the two methods , an evaluation between these techniques were done in term of QoS parameters such as (SINR, Throughput, Spectrum efficiency, Transmission Delay and Outage probability) . The main results that was found that the reduction of the RP-ABS is efficient compared to the ABS about 11.25% , 3.2% , 30.5% , 10.3% , 90% on average in SINR, Throughput, Spectrum efficiency, Transmission Delay and Outage probability respectively. en_US
