dc.description.abstract This is descriptive cross sectional study which was done in Bahri Maternity Hospital. Carried out from January to September 2018. The aim of this study was to evaluate of females pelvic pain using ultrasonography. Using B- mode there were 60 pregnant and non-pregnant women patents with pelvic pain. Women suffering from pelvic pain and had normal ultrasound report were excluded. Scanned transabdominal and transvaginal use man dray DC-6 machine using data collection sheet and SPSS program for data analysis. The study showed that the most causes of pelvic pain occur in age group (22-27) and (28-33) year respectively the type of pain were (58.3%) of acute pain and (41.7%) were of chronic pain. Fibroid the most commonly involved in pelvic pain and was seen in (31.3%) followed by incomplete abortion in (25%), ectopic pregnancy in (13.3%) and missed abortion in (6.7%). The result also showed that there was no significant between age and causes of pelvic pain. The finding with respect to type of pain most of fibroid patient had chronic pain but the others had different type of pain such as incomplete abortion and ectopic pregnancy. Ultrasound finding to respect to organ of pathology most of incomplete an d fibroid in uterus and the other had different organs such as ectopic pregnancy, ovarian cyst and ovarian torsion in right or left adnexae. This research approved it is hypothesis that ultrasound was more accurate tool for detection of female pelvic pain. The study recommended further studies should be carried out in this field in different region and increases the number of patient to detect the reason of that causes of pelvic pain and control it. en_US
