Abstract:
The main objective of this research is to study the outcome of Tc 99m –DTPA of urinary obstructive uropathy.
100 cases with urinary obstructive uropathy were studied in RICK by using Tc 99m –DTPA to evaluate to function of urinary system.
The study showed that the common involved gender is the male with specific percent of 68% relative to female with 32%.
The common cause for urinary obstruction is the benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) which represented 12,3% then stone represented 9.4% then the stricture which represented 5.5%.
The most common involved anatomical site with obstruction with in the urinary system is the bladder represented 18.4%, then urethra represented 7.7% then pelviuritric junction (PUJ) represented 7% and the less common in uriter represented 4.9%.
The common involved age were the age group of 0 to 10 years old, and the correlation between age groups and incidence of obstructive uripathy could be fitted by this equation:
Y = - 1.14 x + 17.64
