Abstract:
In long term evolution-advanced (LTE-A) networks, the carrier
aggregation technique is incorporated for user equipment’s to simultaneously
aggregate multiple component carriers (CCs) for achieving higher
transmission rate. By combining five component carriers, each of 20 MHz, we
can extend the bandwidth to 100 MHz and hence also can achieve high data
rates of the order of 1Gbps. Many research works for LTE-A systems with
carrier aggregation configuration is carried out in this project we will study
the performance of carrier aggregation for various optimization steps and
further evolution seen in future.
