dc.description.abstract The study was descriptive study evaluation of knee joint lesion using mri this study was conducted in three of different Khartoum hospitals( Alzaitona hospital – Albraha hospital –Antalya diagnostic center) from January 2018 to May 2018.The data was analyzed by SPSS software using various statistics and all this information were analyzed and presented in tables and figures. The aim of this study was to evaluate the knee joint lesions using the magnetic resonance imaging in Sudanesepopulation. The study was conducted in 50 patient who were referred to the radiology department complain of knee pain age between 17-72 years different gender; 39 male, 11 female. Selection of Participants was done through random probability sampling technique. The patient’s data and clinical information were obtained from axial, coronal and sagittal images to identify the pathological changes using MRI Machine (1.5 Tesla) from different manufacturers. The result of the study showed that the Knee pain was found to be common in males (78%) as compared to females. Osteoarthritis was found in 12% of patients of knee pain with semi equal prevalence in both male and female. Baker’s cyst which is mostly present with osteoarthritis patient was found in 10% in patients. Joint effusion was found to be most frequent associated lesion constituting 30%. Furthermore, Meniscus tear was found in 24 % patients, it was similar for both male and female.Finally the study recommended that further studies should bedone by larger sample size. en_US
