Abstract:
This study aims to the Economic Evaluation of Production of
Camel and camel meats and to study the socio-economic features of
breeders and traders of living and stings camel meats to answer the
questions of: if breeding of camel for selling to traders of stings camel
has profitable revenue covering its cost of its stings
?
This study conducted or carried out within Khartoum Walaia during the
period of 2009-2010
.
The study depends on the primary data of field survey by using
questionnaires & personal interviews while the secondary data collected
from references from the Ministry of Finance & National Economy,
Ministry of Agriculture & Forests, Ministry of Livestock & Fisheries
Wealth, and Arabic Organization for Agricultural Development, Arabic
Corporation for Agricultural Development & Ministry of Livestock
Wealth & Agriculture & Irrigation
.
The data analyzed by using the descriptive analysis to determine the
socio-economic features of camel breeders & stings camel traders, also
we use the budget analysis to define the revenues & costs of camel
breeders & camel meats traders for each one
.
The results of this study are as follow: the gross profit of camel
breeding 35-45head is 14427.5 S.D.G that is mean the breeding of camel
for sells to camel meats traders has profitable revenue, the percentage of
coefficient of profitability 4.83% in the month. The gross profit of camel
meats traders is 17750.4 S.D.G for 20head, that is mean the stings camel
has profitable revenue covering their stinging costs & the percentage of
coefficient of profitability 3.41%
.
The study proved that the camel breeding for sells to camel meats
traders has profitable revenues & the camel meat traders collecting
profitable revenue from stings camel meat in spite of highly costs of
stinging
.
The study recommended by encouraging the breeders to increase their
production through: decreasing the costs of camel breeding, decreasing
the stinging costs for the stings camel meats traders
