Abstract:
This study aims at investigating Difficulties Facing Pupils at Basic Level Schools in Pronouncing and Writing Alphabets. The descriptive analytical method is used to collect data. The tool adopted as a test conducted on sample of the study which consisted of (50) pupils. The data were analyzed by using the Statistical Package of Social Science program (SPSS). The analysis of the data showed that there are weakness in pronouncing and writing the English Alphabets. The study concluded the following results, the majority of the pupils failed to pronounce different sounds of the alphabets specially (a, e, i, o, u, sh, ch, th, ck, ph). At the end of the study the researcher is recommended the necessary on paying more attention different sounds of the same letters group of letters. English language teachers at basic school particularly those who teach English alphabet should qualified with sufficient training course.
