dc.description.abstract This study was carried out at the nursery of the General directory of Horticulture production Ministry of agriculture &forestry , Khartoum State, during October to December 2016 to determine the effect of growth regulator (IBA), growth stimulants and different culture media on the rooting and vegetative growth of henna (Lawsonia inermis) stem cuttings. The completely randomized design was used with three replications and ten cuttings of each replicate. Data were collected at the end of the experiment for the following parameters: number of root, root length, number of leaves, number of branches, and branch length. Data were subjected to analysis of variance and means were separated by Duncan's multiple range tests at 0.05. The most important results showed that using of auxin (IBA ) and wood ash were significant increase gave in number of root for the treatment cuttings comparing with untreated cuttings (control). However, argel treatment ranked intermediate between the treatments. Also auxin significantly increased root length in comparisons with other treatments . The results showed that all treatments caused a significant increase in number of leaves compared with control. Whereas stimulants growth (ash and argel) had significant effect on the number of shoots and shoot length. The results showed that the peat moss increased all rooting parameters significantly compared to the other treatments. en_US
