dc.description.abstract Enhanced oil Recovery methods had been used around the world for enhancing production and getting higher recovery factor from oil reserves. Cyclic Steam Stimulation is one of the widest used thermal methods; which means injection of high temperature steam into the production well, then shut in the well for soaking, after that the same well will be used as production well. Normally the most effective parameters in cyclic steam stimulation are injection parameters, soaking time and production period. The main objective of this study is to re-evaluate some parameters of cyclic steam stimulation to achieve the maximum recovery for future application. A detailed three dimentional simulation model of Fula North East oil field was used; Specific wells which had problems in adsorption of steam in cyclic steam simulation process had been studied and evaluated. The ability to perforate or shut in the layers those didn´t passes the injected steam. Two different parameters steam temperature and perforation strategy had been selected to apply different scenarios and find out the optimum values. Computer Modeling Group Thermal simulator (STARS) had been used to establish and modify the simulation model for the selected wells, small sectors from the original model were used to minimize the running time and focus only on the wells selected for study. After applying new scenarios for selected wells, finding out that for each well there are an optimum temperature for each well different from other wells. So separated steam injection was recommended. When re-planning the perforation strategies we found that closed layers which they have no steam adsorption, the v production increased in some wells in rang of (o.75% to 3 %) and decrease in rang of (0.66 % to 26 %) in other as result of losing the cold production. en_US
